Happy Independence Day to the Wow Kidz Family!!!

Children of today’s generation haven’t been members of the struggles faced during the independence fight. Some of them have aren’t even blessed enough to have great grandparents to narrate the stories of their struggles and accomplishments of the time. So how do we encourage nationalism into our kids? Well, the only way to do that is by presenting them with knowledge about the same in a way that they’re responsive to.

Do you think that your kids are familiar with the significance of this day or is aware of the objective behind feasting it every year? We should enlighten them about the tributes made by the freedom soldier and their missions along with their aims and efforts to make India a democratic country.

Many parents in today’s date don’t even bother to celebrate or even discuss Independence Day with their kids at home. All the information that is received by them is from their schools. For most parents, Independence Day celebration and festivities don’t hold a very vital part of their ongoing lives. Parents hold a very important role in molding their children and it’s their role to cultivate a feeling of patriotism among their little one.

So this Independence Day, educate your child and celebrate this prestigious event with them. Wow Kidz has a treat for you this Independence Day! Don’t forget to watch our National Anthem with our Mahatma Gandhi inspired character, Bapu.

Happy Independence Day to the Wow Kidz Family!!!

Monsoon Tips from Wow Kidz!!!

Hello friends, it’s the time of the year that we all love so much, at least I do. I mean who doesn’t love the splash of freshness and cool breeze after months of scorching heat. All summer people just keep waiting for it to start raining, kids more than anyone. Well, keeping their exhilaration under control, to relive all those reminiscing good old memories from the season, seems like an added trouble for the parents.

Apart from all the fun and excitement that comes with the season, what we miss out on is the bunch of infections and illnesses that it invites. We can’t keep our kids from splashing around in the water during monsoon, but what we can do is try and take measures in order to keep them safe. So here we have some tips from the Wow Kidz team to keep your child and you healthy and disease-free this monsoon.

• First things first, make sure that your house is clean and dry, as the humidity from the weather can get to your house too. A lot of mosquitoes are attracted indoors, spreading waterborne viruses.
• Don’t forget to apply mosquito repellant before leaving the house.
• Prefer home-cooked meals over restaurants and street food.
• Try and drink only boiled water in order to avoid infections.
• Have more fresh food items that are rich in Vitamins. Also, avoid having salads and raw fruits or vegetables unless they are washed properly.
• Always keep an extra pair of dry clothes for kids to avoid long hours in damp clothes, which calls for infections.
• Keep a habit of keeping your body clean and adding a few drops of antiseptic liquid in the bath.
• Kids love splashing water, but it is very necessary to keep them away from puddles and stagnant waters as they can lead to numerous diseases.
• Avoid going in the first rain as it contains acid in it.

So, here’s wishing the Wow Kidz Family Happy Monsoon and don’t forget to follow these precautions to keep yourself safe and healthy!!!

Nursery Rhymes Learning Videos for Kids | Tooth Brushing Song | Healthy Habits Songs

So parents, here’s one blog from Wow Kidz for you, so we can be of aid to release you from one of the numerous stresses that come along with raising a child. Don’t you wonder that growing up and becoming adults we become so rigid that it’s very difficult for us to change our ways of living or to develop a new habit? Well, it’s rightly said that most habits are better inculcated in the early ages of our lives. However, this may seem like a tough job for the parents, but it’s also mandatory to make sure that the children are growing up with the right set of manners.

It becomes very necessary for children to develop good habits in the early stages of their life. According to the California Department of Education, "Recent brain research indicates that birth to age three are the most important years in a child's development." So it is advisable for parents to start practicing healthy norms with their young ones in their early influential years. Though sometimes it may not seem like children require the same set of mannerisms as us adults, but don't you think some practices can go a long way in our lives?

We all know how prolonged a process it can be for a child to learn something fresh or to adapt to something new in their childhood. Also, teaching good habits may not always include just teaching children regimes like bedtime routines and potty training. It includes a lot more than we can count on. Another reason for that being that kids take time to process what’s being taught to them and occasionally requires repetitive training. That in itself is another problem added to the mentor’s list of ‘challenges in parenting a child’.

Here, at Wow Kidz, we have a solution for one of your problems. So just sit back, relax and watch this 'Healthy Habits song' with your children and teach them some healthy habits with their favorite character VIR: The Robot Boy and his friends.

Wishing A Very Happy Diwali To The Wow Kidz family!!!

Diwali is also traditionally known as the festival of lights because it glorifies everybody's life. It is a ritual where people come together and meet their friends and family, light lamps and earthen diyas, a grand evening of firecrackers to ward off the evils, gorging upon sweet delicacies and quite a few more traditions. Many people also believe in cleaning their houses before Diwali as an invitation to Goddess of wealth and prosperity, Laxmi, for the day of solemnizing Laxmi Puja.

Diwali is generally a five-day celebration mainly performed by the Hindus. All Indian festivals have distinct meanings for people of different cultures and Diwali is no exception. It is observed by people across the world in a very versatile manner and not just in India. Apart from India, this fete is also acknowledged by Indian all over the world with great fervor.

Like every other Indian jamboree, Diwali also has a historic side to it. This holy event is originally observed by many states in India as Naraka Chaturdashi, because the wicked king, Narakasura, was killed by Krishna. For believing in Naraka Chaturdashi, on this day, festivities are very similar to that of Dussehra and the scene is re-enacted where a protagonist, Satyabhama, burns down a tall effigy of diabolic Narakasura. Diwali is celebrated on the ‘no moon day' also known as Amavasya and marks the New Year for Hindus.

So this Diwali instead of just lightening up your own life, spread some light to the poor and needy, instead of bursting crackers burst the evil within you and make your life and surrounding vibrant like the Rangolis outside your houses. Team Wow Kidz wishes you all a very Happy Diwali and a Happy New Year!!
