Celebrate Republic Day With Kisna On The ‘Discovery Kids Joy Express’

Discovery Kids will celebrate Republic Day with kids onboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express this weekend. Kids’ favourite super hero Kisna will spread the patriotic spirit with cheer and fun amongst his little fans. Extending the celebrations on-air, Discovery Kids will also premiere a Republic Day Special episode of KISNA on 26th January from 9am to 10pm.

On 23rd & 24th January, Discovery Kids Joy Express will bring a host of exciting activities to convey the importance of Republic Day to kids. Kids will learn interesting facts about this important day through puppet shows, art & craft, fun quiz and much more. Kids will also get a chance to meet and celebrate Republic Day with their favourite superhero KISNA.

Discovery Kids Joy Express was launched in December 2015 as a unique way for children to spend their weekends. Since launch, over 1000 kids have experienced the joy and fun aboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express.

Discovery Kids & Kisna Spread Joy amongst Underprivileged Kids With Discovery Kids Joy Express

Discovery Kids and its favourite superhero KISNA celebrated the weekend with kids from Shiksha Educational Trust, an organisation that works towards the cause of education amongst underprivileged children. On Sunday, 27th December, more than 100 kids from the trust were taken on a joy ride aboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express and participated in games, art & craft, magic show, puppet shows and much more. The kids also met KISNA and expressed their enthusiasm by dancing and singing with the super hero.

Discovery Kids Joy Express was launched on 18th December to give children in Delhi-NCR a unique way to spend their weekends and holidays and to experience the magic of learning combined with entertainment. As part of its initiative to reach out to children from all strata of society, Discovery Kids Joy Express will regularly invite kids from NGOs, free of cost, to spread the joy.

Speaking about the initiative, Rahul Johri, EVP and GM, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “We are delighted to welcome kids from Shiksha Trust onboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express. Our aim is to engage children from all walks of life and this ride is a small step in this direction.”

Talking about his experience on Discovery Kids Joy Express, 7-year old Dalip from Shiksha said, “I am very happy as I got to meet Kisna and watch the puppet and magic show. We also learnt that we should always help others and keep our surroundings clean.”

Discovery Kids Joy Express is operational every Saturday – Sunday, from 12 PM to 4 PM. Kids, accompanied by one parent at Sikanderpur Rapid metro station. Eena, Meena, Deeka are outside travelling in their car. Bhukkad tries to catch them but lands into a superhero hoarding, where he meets his friend the vulture. On the poster he sees a no which mentions regarding some superhero powers. He dials the number and gets a box. The box blasts and he turns into a super hero-villain, and gets super powers. His motive is to try and catch Eena, Meena and Deeka. However they manage to escape Bhukkad's evil powers. Watch to find out if they outwit and over power the evil Bhukkad?

Eena, Meena and Deeka  set out on a sailing expedition. They travel through rough waters when Bhukkad attacks them  as a sea pirate and the chase starts. the three duo plays tricks with him every time and Bhukkad is left battered. Eena, Meena and Deeka  end up playing tennis with a whale with Bhukkad being the ball.

Eena, Meena and Deeka joins an army camp. They behave like army personnel but unfortunately Bhukkad too joins them. Every time they try to take some army training Bhukkad sneaks behind them. Bhukkad jumps inside a tank as well. However due to their spontaneous thinking his shot rebounds and he gets blown up into the sky.
