Discovery Kids' popular superhero KISNA celebrated National
Science Day with kids from Scottish Church Collegiate School in Kolkata. As
part of the celebrations, kids got to meet Kisna and also participated in
interesting science experiments with their favourite superhero.
Kids at the Scottish Church Collegiate School were full of
enthusiasm to meet Kisna and participate in the various experiments. Their
favourite superhero demonstrated the making of a periscope and a light bulb
using materials that can be found at home. The kids were given a chance to try
these experiments on their own while Kisna lent a helping hand to them.

are delighted to bring Kisna to celebrate National Science Day with kids in
Kolkata. It is heartening to see kids actively participate in the activities

The science experiments were followed by a meet and greet
where young fans got to interact and get their pictures taken with Kisna. Every
child also received a medal for their participation in the activity.
KISNA is the story of an adventurous and amusing young boy
from Anandnagri and his adversary the wicked Raja Durjan of Andhernagri. During
the series, KISNA clashes with Raja Durjan and each time squashes his evil
plans of spreading fear in KISNA’S hometown. Watch how the strongest fail to

Discovery Kids will celebrate Republic Day with kids onboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express this weekend. Kids’ favourite super hero Kisna will spread the patriotic spirit with cheer and fun amongst his little fans. Extending the celebrations on-air, Discovery Kids will also premiere a Republic Day Special episode of KISNA on 26th January from 9am to 10pm.
On 23rd & 24th January, Discovery Kids Joy Express will bring a host of exciting activities to convey the importance of Republic Day to kids. Kids will learn interesting facts about this important day through puppet shows, art & craft, fun quiz and much more. Kids will also get a chance to meet and celebrate Republic Day with their favourite superhero KISNA.

Discovery Kids and its favourite superhero KISNA celebrated
the weekend with kids from Shiksha Educational Trust, an organisation that
works towards the cause of education amongst underprivileged children. On
Sunday, 27th December, more than 100 kids from the trust were taken on a joy
ride aboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express and participated in games, art &
craft, magic show, puppet shows and much more. The kids also met KISNA and
expressed their enthusiasm by dancing and singing with the super hero.
Discovery Kids Joy Express was launched on 18th December to
give children in Delhi-NCR a unique way to spend their weekends and holidays
and to experience the magic of learning combined with entertainment. As part of
its initiative to reach out to children from all strata of society, Discovery
Kids Joy Express will regularly invite kids from NGOs, free of cost, to spread
the joy.
Speaking about the initiative, Rahul Johri, EVP and GM,
South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “We are delighted to welcome
kids from Shiksha Trust onboard the Discovery Kids Joy Express. Our aim is to
engage children from all walks of life and this ride is a small step in this
direction.”
Talking about his experience on Discovery Kids Joy Express,
7-year old Dalip from Shiksha said, “I am very happy as I got to meet Kisna and
watch the puppet and magic show. We also learnt that we should always help
others and keep our surroundings clean.”
Discovery Kids Joy Express is operational every Saturday –
Sunday, from 12 PM to 4 PM. Kids, accompanied by one parent at Sikanderpur
Rapid metro station. Tickets for the Discovery Kids Joy Express, priced at
Rs.250 for kids and Rs.100 for the accompanying parent/adult will be available
