Kisna Celebrates National Science Day with Kids in Kolkata


Discovery Kids' popular superhero KISNA celebrated National Science Day with kids from Scottish Church Collegiate School in Kolkata. As part of the celebrations, kids got to meet Kisna and also participated in interesting science experiments with their favourite superhero.

Kids at the Scottish Church Collegiate School were full of enthusiasm to meet Kisna and participate in the various experiments. Their favourite superhero demonstrated the making of a periscope and a light bulb using materials that can be found at home. The kids were given a chance to try these experiments on their own while Kisna lent a helping hand to them.

Rahul Johri, EVP and GM, South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, said, “Kisna has grown in popularity across the country and we are delighted to bring Kisna to celebrate National Science Day with kids in Kolkata. It is heartening to see kids actively participate in the activities and the bond they share with their favourite superhero Kisna.”

The science experiments were followed by a meet and greet where young fans got to interact and get their pictures taken with Kisna. Every child also received a medal for their participation in the activity.



KISNA is the story of an adventurous and amusing young boy from Anandnagri and his adversary the wicked Raja Durjan of Andhernagri. During the series, KISNA clashes with Raja Durjan and each time squashes his evil plans of spreading fear in KISNA’S hometown.
